Broadway Nails Review

After watching a Broadway Nails tutorial on Elle’s YouTube channel, I was anxious to try the product!

I used to get my nails done all the time until I developed a type of Eczema and am now no longer able to get them done due to chemical irritation.  I miss having beautiful french tipped nails!  I picked up two boxes of Broadway’s real short french tips to try.

You glue each nail on with super glue that is supplied in the box and then twist off the tiny tab when you’re done.  I actually just used fingernail clippers to clip it off.  The whole process could not have been easier!  I ended up filing the nails down a bit because I like my nails REALLY short so they don’t interfere with typing and iPhone-ing.

The nails lasted for about 5 days before they started to come loose.  I am pretty hard on my nails so I was surprised they lasted that long!

I plan to use the Broadway Nails for special events – at around $6 a box at drugstores, it’s quite the deal!

Review of Magpie Designz Necklace

Posted Monday, August 2nd, 2010 | misc | (2 Comments)

I have loved the necklaces offered at Magpie Designz for a very long time and last week I finally ordered my first piece.  I decided on the Jane Necklace and got to pick which metals, which type of charm (brushed or hammered) and personalized it with three names, Chris, Rowdy & Dakota.

I was so surprised to receive an e-mail after one week that my item had already shipped!  I am a very impatient person but reminded myself when I placed the order that the website says it can take 2-3 weeks (not including shipping) so it was a pleasant surprise to know I wouldn’t have to wait that long!

I love the look of the multi-charm necklace and the 3 different types of metals make me feel like I can wear it with anything.

I would definitely recommend Magpie Designz.  I’m going to bookmark the site for the next time I need a personalized gift.  The prices are affordable and I love being able to give a custom made gift.

Goody Spin Pin Review

Posted Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 | i love | (3 Comments)

After a friend introduced me to Goody‘s Spin Pins, I picked up a pack of two at my local drug store.  I don’t remember how much I paid but it was under $10. I bought the Blonde color but truth be told you can’t really see them in your hair so I’m not sure if it matters what shade you get.  They come in Blonde or Brunette.

I’ve been using the spin pins for a few days and I love them!  You twist your hair and wrap it into a traditional bun.  You then spin one pin through the top of the bun and one through the bottom – careful to not twist them into each other.  They hold the bun for hours and should it start to slip – it’s easy to reposition them.  Because they were twisted in my hair, I didn’t worry about them falling out if my bun came loose.

The best part is when I take the bun down, my hair has a beautiful big curl to it!  I don’t have to worry about the dreaded hair kink when I take out the pins!  Love it!

I would definitely recommend Goody’s Spin Pins!  I’m givin’ it 4/4 stars!
