As requested by Melissa, here is the current playlist I made for my runs. I tried to add the songs that I haven’t listen to in a long time – except for Eminem’s new song that I love! When I’m not using the playlist, I’m listening to the Cradlesong album by Rob Thomas.
Anything I should add?
I’ve welcomed a new Coach bag to my collection today. This is Maggie. She’s an awesome bag that I’ve wanted for a very long time. Today, at the outlets, my mom spotted it in the damaged bin. I got an awesome deal on this bag because it’s got a tiny scratch mark on the back. I’m talking… 1/8 of an inch? I know it’ll get marks on it – so what do I care if it’s got a tiny little mark on it already?
I am so excited to add this bag to my collection. I haven’t taken pics of my collection in a while so I will do that soon too.
I don’t know about you but I have tons of random things that end up on my computer desk. Here’s 5. The explanation is below the photos.
Photo 1: A mini San Jose Sharks Zamboni = I’m a huge Sharks fan and my mom got it for me in NY!
Photo 2: Anastasia music box = Anastasia is one of my favorite movies (TOP 5!) and it’s also another gift from my mom.
Photo 3: Marilyn Monroe Print = Fell in love with it in an art gallery and it was like $250. Found it the next day at TJ Maxx for $5. Fate. Lava Lamp = gift from family friend. Means a lot to me!
Photo 4: Rosebud body scrub = I don’t know where the hell I got this but my nickname is Rosebud.
Your turn. What random 5 things do you have on your desk?
We headed to the local park trail, bright and early this morning, and after the 5 minute warm up, ran our hearts out! I’m so proud of us for getting through today’s run! It’s a big leap to go from running 8 minute intervals to running one 20 minute interval. It’s amazing how your body gets in a groove though and carries you through it.
Moving onto Week 6 on Monday. After completing today’s run, it makes me confident that I can finish this program!
I made a iTunes Playlist with songs I haven’t heard in a long time that I knew would pump me up – so I think that helped a lot too!
You have until Saturday at 7 pm PST to enter my contest to win a $15 Starbucks Gift Card!
Jaws is my 2008 Honda CRV. Since my car just turned over 18,000 miles I just wanted to mark this milestone with a post about how much I love this car. I previously owned a 1997 Honda CRV that I loved but lost, unfortunately, in an accident. The accident and after effects made 2 years of my life horrible but I am glad that at the end of the road I was left with a new safe vehicle that I love even more than my old car – which I thought was impossible.
I surprised myself when I fell in love with the blue color that this car came in. Normally, I would have gone for gray but the blue totally caught my eye!
I’ve had this car for 2 years now and I hope to drive it for many many years to come! I love this car! Happy 18k Miles, Jaws!
After a friend introduced me to Goody‘s Spin Pins, I picked up a pack of two at my local drug store. I don’t remember how much I paid but it was under $10. I bought the Blonde color but truth be told you can’t really see them in your hair so I’m not sure if it matters what shade you get. They come in Blonde or Brunette.
I’ve been using the spin pins for a few days and I love them! You twist your hair and wrap it into a traditional bun. You then spin one pin through the top of the bun and one through the bottom – careful to not twist them into each other. They hold the bun for hours and should it start to slip – it’s easy to reposition them. Because they were twisted in my hair, I didn’t worry about them falling out if my bun came loose.
The best part is when I take the bun down, my hair has a beautiful big curl to it! I don’t have to worry about the dreaded hair kink when I take out the pins! Love it!
I would definitely recommend Goody’s Spin Pins! I’m givin’ it 4/4 stars!

Today was day 2 of week 5 and consisted of jogging for 8 minutes, walking for 5 and then jogging for another 8. Good news is that I was shocked when the first 8 minutes was up! I had miscalculated with my guessing by about 2 minutes. The second 8 minutes was really hard for me and my ankles but I pushed through it.
I’m so nervous about Friday’s running because it’s the 20 minute jog without stopping but I have to keep reminding myself that tons of people follow this program and it’s the natural progression of things to run without stopping at some point.
The mental aspect of this challenge is just as hard, if not harder, than the physical aspect!
